Fixing Stuff

So Far these things have needed attention:

  • Latest thing: New sidelight on order, new boot seal fitted, fibreglass valance would have been fitted if I'd been able to undo those last 2 screws before going to Snetterton....

  • Fuel pumps still operated by the mirror knob but at least the mirror moves now as well...

  • Part number 047133367A (air intake boot??? dont know what to call it!) Split! Actually replaced with part number 047 133 367C which seems to be pretty darned similar, although it had me worried for a minute... ;-)

  • Fuel Line Had a rusty bit where the metal had just gone far too thin.  My dad replaced this with some plastic fuel line.

  • Spark Plugs Really obvious but the person who had it before had only bothered to replace 2 out of 4 spark plugs.  The engine's still misfiring but at least it wont have this problem any more...

  • Electrics I am in the middle of pouring over electric diagrams.  Thank goodness it was just a misplaced relay that was stopping the windscreen wipers.  More interesting is the way the driver's side mirror adjustor is currently making the fuel pump at the back come on... hmmmm

  • Rotting seats well, leaking trim more accurately, but the rear seats were really skanky!

  • Boot/Hatch lock The left hand catch aint catching and the boot needs to be pressed down on before the lock with turn... hey ho

  • A whole load of other things that im too girly to talk about sensibly... :-)

So I was driving along and suddenly my throttle started having absolutely no effect whatsoever... Hello Nice AA Man :-) Anyway the garage found a nice big split in this strange rubber bits protrusion.. (part number 047 133 367A, if anyone's interested it cost me £25+vat from Lancaster's in Colchester)
