Nissan Sunny SGL ("Baby") sold 21 November 2001

Ah, there goes my lovely Baby, my Nissan Sunny SGL...

It was my first car, I had it for 2 1/2 years, and I don't care what everyone says, I think Nissan Sunny's are great.

Here are the cool things about my newly departed car:

1. Its a coupe.

2. Its got 3 letters in its name, S, G and L.

3. It had some really cool levers to open the windows with (click here).

4. The only time it ever broke down on me, was in the middle of nowhere in the countryside.  Some how or other, it managed to come to a standstill right next to a public call box so I could phone for help.

5. No matter what people say about Sunny's, its related to the Nissan Sunny 2.0 GTi-R which can do 0-60 in 5.1 seconds (that's the same as a Porsche 911 3.4)

 

The only reason I got rid of it was to get this slightly posher looking Rover 820!

doesn't it look sad?  It knows I am about to send it away :-(	Yes, the boot stayed open all by itself ! (which is more than I can say for the rover, I'm afraid!) NEWS! Jan2002  - the rover has new boot struts! hurrah for motorbitz!
Ah what a sexy little bottom!	One of the cool things about it was its  completely manual, lever driven everything (except for the choke).  Here you can see the radio etc  which had both AM and Long wave!!
Oh how I will miss sitting down on those comfy seats...	Of course, if you were a passenger... you would have seen this view first

 

Absolutely the COOLEST thing about the Nissan were these two levers. They sat between the 2 front seats,  and you used them to open and close the rear windows.  How cool is that?!?

And here is the saddest thing of all...

Today, as I was cleaning out the boot of my poor ickle baby for the very last time, I found a light in the boot that I never realised I had, and never turned on.  I switched the switch and it worked beautifully *tears in the corner of my eye*...

Anyway, that's all there is to say about my baby for now...
