My All-Time Favourite Shoes!

Well, there they are, looking a little sad :-(

I have never quite been able to bring myself to throw them away :-(
I even taped the heel back on when it fell off!
And was still wearing them for about 3 months after that!

I was just going to photograph them, but
I couldn't resist putting them on one more time - they are still so comfy!!

I got them from Marks and Sparks, about 5 or 6 years ago...
They are great for dancing, walking, running, cycling, partying, relaxing...
They are simply the best shoes I have ever had...

And Marks and Spencer's never made them again!!! :-(

I have kept looking for replacements, But never found any...

Normally the reasons shoes are no good for me are:

  1. Heel too high.  I am nearly 6 feet tall in bare feet, so I don't like much more than about 2 inches heel

  2. Toe-coverage insufficient. Part of being tall is having big feet, I'm a UK size 8 and I have toes to match: My toes look hideous with some of these strappier numbers!

  3. Just far too dull. Sadly, take away the heel and strappy bits, and shoe designers seem to think you want to wear library shoes or penny-loafer type things - Ughgh!

  4. Uncomfortable. I Just wont buy a shoe because it looks good, it has to be comfortable and ideally practical too.

These shoes were IDEAL!

So why does no-one make them anymore???

I haven't got a Scooby, but at one time I liked these shoes, too

Or, if you prefer, you can visit the rest of my site while you ponder... ;)
